OVERVIEW


For one of our clients, we rebranded Joe & Tom Video and Photography Agency, founded by two close friends after university, to create a cohesive identity centred on their authentic selves. Our team developed a consistent colour palette and youthful style that highlighted their creativity and alignment with current trends. We produced a comprehensive brand guide with illustrative assets for merchandising, ensuring a unified and recognizable theme for client presentations. Despite the challenge of managing numerous ideas, we streamlined the options to help the clients identify key elements, allowing for further development and finalising the design.



RESEARCH & PROCESS





Research:

We met with the clients to discuss inspiration, themes, and visual ideas to explore further. We also determined their desired level of involvement in the design process, including the frequency of contact and the number of suggested revisions. We began exploring typography and integrating their services into their name and illustrative assets. My role in this team was to contribute ideation, research, and illustrative skills.


Challenges and Solutions:

We began with discussions and brainstorming sessions, compiling ideas and leveraging everyone's strengths in typography, layout, branding, color schemes, and illustration. To streamline our ideas, we created a series of idea charts that integrated various aspects. This allowed the clients to choose their preferred elements, which we then refined into a final options chart for revision.

Showcase Results:

The rebrand resulted in a consistent identity featuring a cohesive color palette, illustrative assets, and suggested fonts, all compiled into a comprehensive brand guide. The illustrations reflect the clients' journey from university students to entrepreneurs, serving as an engaging ice breaker and conversation starter with new clients, making them appear down-to-earth and outgoing.
